At Queen’s College High School, I was walking by the pool. I stepped up the stair to the girls changing room, and I slipped. At first I thought I was okay, then I blacked out for a few seconds, and started to cry. When I looked down, my shin was scraped to the bone, and this nasty blood came flowing down (I hate blood). I was ready to throw up and then I limped to the nurse with the help of one of my friends.
Icky. :(
First of all, I’d like to thank everyone who has made a huge impact in my life. There are dozens of people who have believed in me and loved on me and encouraged me up to now, and even more that I can count on if I am in a jam.
The person who has made the biggest impact on me is my pastor; Pastor Rosmery Bethel. She and her husband pastor the Bahamas campus of Epic Church in the Summerwinds Plaza on the T.W.D Highway. For about six years, their advice and love has been the driving force behind keeping my faith alive. She is a huge part of the reason that I am the person I am today. She believes in me, and she is my inspiration behind loving people so tirelessly and loving God so relentlessly. She taught me how to lead worship, and she taught me what worship really means.
That’s a huge part of me. Also, because of her, I believe in purity, and I still hold faith in true love. She just inspires me so much because she walks in so much power and wholeness.
Hmm… this one is hard. I’ve had so many of them!
I’ll talk about two or three of them, very briefly.
The first one I can remember is the night that Patrick told me that he loved me for the first time. It is the number one memory that I can count on to bring my mood up, no matter how miserable I am. I don’t remember the rest of what happened that day, but nothing matters about that 24-hour period except for that one moment.
The second one I can think of is back in October 2011 when I shopped at Goodwill for the first time in Orlando. I’d never shopped in a thrift store before. It was an exciting experience, having come from a world where I’d been told that designer is good and anything not brand named is inferior. So, it was a good feeling to spend sooo much money there and pick up some really cool stuff!
The third one I can remember is the day I spent with Patrick from the morning. We made breakfast (it included bacon, of course!) and we went to the beach… It was just a completely perfect day. Absolutely nothing went wrong that day. Even the rain was amazing while we were in the ocean. It was crazy…
Those are my three best days! Share? ♥
